Monthly Labyrinth Challange
Often we don’t know how to use a labyrinth. Is there a protocol, a specific way to walk or breathe or act? Should we think, should we pray, should we empty our minds? The truth: there is no right or wrong way to walk a labyrinth.
Take some time before or after a service or during the week to walk our labyrinth. If you are feeling lost, try our monthly challenges.
For June: as you begin, bring to mind a concern (a friend in need, a personal worry, a local or world issue). Carry that with you as you slowly walk the circuits. When you reach the center, stop for a moment and leave that concern with God. You can stay in the center as long as you want. Then slowly follow the path that leads you back to your life.
Ask yourself: What did you release? What did you receive? You may wish to leave a note in the little library at the entrance or journal when you get home.
And know that each journey into the labyrinth is different. This labyrinth is a gift to the people of Covenant.
Let us use it to quiet our minds and grow closer to our God.
ALSO Join us to welcome in the summer solstice with a group walk on 6/21 at 7:00pm

CENTERING PRAYER
The first 15 minutes will be an informal gathering, with the practice beginning at 8:45 for 20 minutes.
Centering prayer is a method of meditation that places a strong emphasis on interior silence. We allow ourselves to be totally open to God, learning how to gently release attention away from our inner thoughts.
